Contact Atelier→Five strands of matched freshwater pearls run parallel across the throat, each pearl individually knotted and selected for consistency of size and lustre. The strands converge at the centre on a white gold clasp-mount holding a large faceted London blue topaz — deep teal with flashes of inky blue — surrounded by a full halo of round brilliant diamonds.
The topaz is the anchor of the piece. Its scale justifies the width of the five-strand construction; without a stone of this presence, the pearls would read as a simple multi-strand. With it, the choker becomes something architectural.
At the back, two white gold tube clasps terminate the strands, connected by a short adjustable chain with a single pearl drop. The closure is both functional and deliberate — it sits at the nape with the same care given to the front.
This piece exists once.
Pearl matching at this scale — five strands, all uniform — requires working through a large lot and setting aside anything that breaks the surface continuity. The topaz was acquired first; the pearls were selected to sit beside it without competing. The halo of diamonds was added to create a proper threshold between the cool white of the pearls and the deep blue of the stone.
