Two diamonds. Two cuts. One composition.
A trillion-cut diamond — triangular, its three corners slightly curved — sits in a low bezel on the left. A round brilliant occupies a smaller bezel on the right, close enough that the two stones touch at their settings. The pendant reads as a single horizontal unit: different geometries held in quiet agreement.
Both stones are set in 18k yellow gold, their bezels kept slim to let the maximum face of each diamond show. The chain connects at small jump rings on either side of the composition, so the pendant hangs flat and level against the collarbone.
There is no hierarchy here — neither stone dominates. The interest comes from the contrast: the hard angles of the trillion against the perfect symmetry of the round.
The Story
This piece began with two stones that arrived together and seemed to belong together — different in cut but matched in tone. The bezel-setting approach was chosen to unify them visually: the same yellow gold border around both stones makes the pairing feel intentional rather than accidental. Sizing the round correctly against the trillion took several iterations; too small and it reads as an afterthought, too large and the triangle loses its weight.
